About Us
Camp Philosophy
Camp Putnam Believes:
-
That caring and sharing are the core values upon which character is built.
-
That personal development is facilitated in the presence of nature.
-
That all children should be viewed and valued for who they are and what they do.
-
That every child is special and should be afforded the opportunity to discover himself or herself in a safe, nurturing, environment-- regardless of one's ability to pay.
-
That success should only be measured against one's prior performance.
-
That each child should be given an opportunity to shine.
-
That every camper's legacy starts today.
MISSION STATEMENT
Camp Putnam provides children a true camp experience that encourages and promotes emotional, social, intellectual, and personal discovery in a safe, structured environment.
What do Kids do at Camp?
Each day at Camp Putnam is filled with activities from morning to night. During a typical day at camp your child will experience staff guided activities such as: arts & crafts, boating and canoeing, swimming, pond life, nature crafts, sports & games, Project Putnam (science and engineering), biking & hiking, free time, and specialized evening programs that change both nightly and weekly. In addition to activity filled days, campers make lifelong friendships. Your child will make memories that will last a lifetime!

Our historic 1830s camp dining hall serves three nutritious meals each day. Campers eat family style alongside staff members at a dinner table. We also provide kids with an afternoon and evening snack before lights out.
